How do I change the language my messages are transcribed in?
Changing your default language transcription on Yac is simple
Change your transcription language so Yac will understand you better!
A list of Yac's transcription languages is at the bottom of this page.
Note: This affects the default language for the Yacs you send. Yacs longer than five seconds will transcribe in whatever language you’re speaking.
On Desktop
- Click your profile icon on the top right
- Choose Preferences at the bottom of the list.
- Scroll down to Transcription Language and click the drop-down arrow.
- Select the language you want to use.
In the Mobile App (iOS & Android)
- Click on the Settings icon on the top left of the app.
- Tap Transcription Language.
- Select the language you want to use.
After you're done editing, tap Save Changes.
Now Yac will default transcribe in your preferred language! For Yacs longer than five seconds, Yac will auto-detect and transcribe in that language.
