Can my YAC Number™ help to avoid international mobile phone roaming charges?

Yes! Your YAC Number can help you avoid mobile phone roaming charges while travelling abroad. This can be done in a variety of ways:

Forward all calls made to your YAC Number to a landline phone number in the country you are visiting (e.g. the local office phone number, a friend's number, your hotel room phone number). You will remain contactable on your YAC Number but will not have to pay roaming charges for receiving calls on your mobile.
Forward all calls made to your YAC Number to a mobile phone number of the country you are visiting (e.g. a friend's mobile, a business mobile from a loan pool). You will be able to use this country's mobile phone, avoiding international roaming costs on your own mobile, while your callers will contact you on the same number as always, your YAC Number. You will not have to distribute any new contact numbers for your stay outside of the UK.

YAC recommends you use one of these methods while travelling abroad, as your mobile phone company will charge normal international roaming rates if you forward your calls to your own UK mobile phone number while that phone is outside of the UK.
